Outsmart Dirty Debt Collectors - Make Them Pay

If you're being sued on a debt and their petition against you included (1) "This is an attempt to collect a debt, anything you say will be used for that purpose," or "This is a communication from a debt collector..." or, especially (3) "You have a right to dispute this debt within 30 days.." you should consider filing a counterclaim under the FDCPA. If you defaulted, you should consider using the information in your motion to vacate the default judgment. This video explains why and how.

I did fall prey to this the first time, got a default judgement. The second time I requested verification instead of answering, went to court and the judge had mercy allowing me another 30 days to file my answer. This is unusual but most lucky for me. I have now filed a counterclaim against them. I appreciate the good words of wisdom as it has pushed me forward in my research and I am defending myself!
